OUR PURPOSE concerns much more than coaching football or any other sport.
WE SEE OUR PURPOSE AS guiding YOUNG ADULTS and showing them the right way, beyond SPORTS coaching.
THE REASON WE have chosen to do this, is OUR strong desire to ensure children don’t drop out of sport
altogether at, or beforethe age of 16+ -the main reason for this happening is adult behaviour,
whether it be a parent, or a bad coach. THIS IS WHY WE believe in working alongside parents and families
closely to ensure OUR jobs can be done to the best of OUR ability.
WE ARE 100% for the individual development of THE PLAYER.This goes way beyond sport, WE ARE talking about
their potential as a person, and how WE can help in any way. WE believe WE CAN positively affect the
development of any YOUING ADULT across all aspects, including personal development into adulthood,
as well as developing thetechnical, physical and mental attributes of young players.

credentials and Philosophies
Craig Macleod - Owner
I have coached for 10 years and am currently a self-employed sports coach, working at a local grassroots
football club for 7 years now AS A COACH AND FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER.
I have also previously ran a business which I won’t name, where I held my own coaching sessions, school
Football, Futsal and multi-sport sessions, and 1to1 coaching sessions.
Below are my qualifications, coaching style & PHILOSOPHY;
UEFA C
Futsal Level 1
Sports Coaching & Sports Exercise Development BSc Hons 2.1
philosophy:
"MY PHILOSOPHY IS To develop young players whilst enhancing my own personal development as a coach. Allow
creativity, believing the players are those that possess the ability, not the coach. Adopt a style of coaching to
demonstrate those beliefs moving forward. Make training sessions enjoyable and aim to see this demonstrated
in games as a reflection of this. Avoid shouting and constant direction, as this will contradict the style and
beliefs. Allow own learning and guided discovery; enforce the point that mistakes are acceptable and a vital
learning curb in young athletes development. Constantly evolve, enhance knowledge and develop moving
forward. Understand that winning/results will come because of the philosophy - which comes foremost."

Philosophy:
"In the words of Alexander Den Heijer “When a flower doesn’t bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower”. I Believe This must also be conceptualised into coaching ideology. If you want a young player to achieve their full potential, we must create rich environments that will allow them to blossom. To me, this is a warm nurturing environment where they feel
comfortable, safe, and free to express themselves.
I believe that players should be challenged Technically, Tactically, physically, socially, and emotionally in their sessions and therefore I design sessions that strengthen all the above areas for the participants involved. Small-sided games, chaos, problem solving and the opportunity to have 100s of touches of the ball are some of the things I enjoy including most in my sessions.
Tactical interventions with groups or individuals will also be regular practice.
I love creating Problems for players to solve as a collective, I believe players must learn to work together as a unit and not overly rely on their coaches to solve all of their problems for them or give them the answers all of the time. I focus heavily on teaching young players
HOW to learn, Not WHAT to learn. This creates a much more autonomous and independent individual capable of
self-thought and creativity which would give them an advantage in the sport.
Although we are working together as one unit to achieve the overall goal, I still treat everyone as an individual with their own motivations, character, and potential. We all have different backgrounds and react differently to various methods of teaching. What works for one player wont necessarily work for another. I try to engage heavily with each player on an individual level and understand what makes them tick to ensure they are reaching their true potential and are happy."

philosophy:
"my philosophy is to develop players into the best footballers they can be. I want them to be confident and brave on the ball
with the confidence to take risks , I want my players to be creative with the ability to solve problems across all areas of the pitch.
I want to create good young people, to assist in creating good footballers
I will achieve this by creating a fun and comfortable learning environment. I will encourage mistakes as learning opportunities.
I will not jump in as soon as the mistake is made, so they will learn to correct the mistake on their own.
when we are in game situations I will have as little input as possible, enabling the players to make their own decisions on and off the ball.
I ensure my sessions are a fun and enjoyable experience for every player that attends as my enthusiasm and love for the game shows.

"to create players with good understanding of the game. developing good, positive attitudes and dedicated, hard working athletes.
my philosophy sees my players transition faster than others being disciplined and organised
as a group both collectively and individually within any role they may play."
